Since the car is so new, you probably won't need any color matching, and you can just give them the paint code. You might even call up the local PPG store to get a price or a gallon of your color, just for you own information.

FTR, I didn't even want Taddie's to work on my car, I just wanted a quart of paint. I still need that paint, so I will go to another supplier who is not 2 miles from me.

Hey Bill...if you need help to remove and replace your front bumper just hollar....I'm available! :cheers
I've never taken off my front bumper but I do know how to remove those tricky plastic rivet clips.....http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157122

Removing the front bumper seems pretty easy to do, you'll need a 10mm socket wrench & flat head screwdriver.

I may take you up on that Jerry. I'll soon be ordering the front bumper as well as the rear spoiler, unless Taddie's (Karl's body shop) can repair & respray the old one for under $400. Had a chance to work a little on the wheels today, what a mess inside the rim. Looks like they were NEVER touched. Will in all likelihood need to remove each wheel individually from the car to really get them clean. I knew there was something about those 17's that I didn't like, cleaning them. Some minor chips on the wheels but it's only a point or two in judging for any wheel issues. Will probably work a little on cleaning up the engine bay while I'm at nationals. Not competing but will enjoy all my ZACO friends. Thanks again for the heads-up on the bumper.

Just got a price from Pain Perfect (Porsche/ Mercedes uses them) to weld the crack in my bumper and refinish it for $350 along with some other minor spots on the car. Total ... around $550 for everything and hopefully I'll have mu old wing & have him respray that while he's at it. Starting to look like a real Z again. Then comes the "glassing" job. Can't wait!!

Going, going GONE. Going back to the dealer after a frustrating weekend of people (2) trying to haggle me down in price. Finally said... enough Gone as of 2:30 this afternoon.

Z ENEMY has passed on.

Condolences, Prodigal. Kinda. Hopefully, your loss anxiety will be quickly replaced with adoption joy. Glad you finally have closure and can move on.

Now you have a little better understanding of what it's like to be on the Car Salesman side of the desk.

Rick,

I'd post pictures to the site if I knew how to do it. A computer literate person, I'm not. OK, it's an '03 350 Enthusiast in Brickyard Metallic, 6 speed, stock everything else. 38,000 mi (turning 39k tomorrow). Needs front bumper refinished as well as a few other gouges in the paint. Car's going to the painter tomorrow (Perfect Paint) for hopefully all of the issues. Picked my old wing off my black '03 from Zin tonight & am having that painted as well. After the paint cures (typically 30 days or so) ('m having the 3M bra put onto the bumper & hood. By any chance are you going to Chris's on Sunday for the "tech" day? Hope to be there with my freshly spray can painted car (that's for you Tom). Putting in 1st Mod- hood struts.

You don't know the half of it. Finally came to a price over the weekend with, I'll say a potential terrorist (if a name gave him away). We were supposed to go to the bank this AM at 11 to close the deal & at 930 he calls to try to niggle me down by $1K. "Go fly a kite" were the essence of my comment to him. Gave the car to Porsche later in the afternoon. Car Salesmen, you've got all my respect now.

Bill, I am meetling Tom at Noon today (Tuesday) at the Burger King on Bagley road in Middleburg Hts, in front of the K-Mart store just west of Engle road, to give him his ZCON T-Shirt.

Maybe you can stop in and I can give you the seat cover.

Call me if you can make it.

Sounds like you got yourself a nice one Bill... Not sure about Sunday.. My original thought was no, I wasn't going to make it. Carol and I are picking up our new puppy on Saturday and I'd hate to leave him alone all day on Sunday.

There is a chance that Carol may not work all day on Sunday, so if that happenes, I'll shoot up early afternoon...

We'll see..

Unfortunately, my car's going in for paint work this AM & will be tied up all day. I'll either hook up with you before or after the weekend. Thanks
