It's taking off a few microns off the clearcoat using a 2000- grit buffer. Almost like a wet sanding process. Designed to remove all of the typical swirl marks and paint imperfections. The Porsche had it done and looked like you poured a bottle of blue ink over the car. Not a swirl mark to be seen. Did it on the Z to remove all of the overspray from the paintwork I'd had done recently. Also, needed to get it done before the 3M bra goes on on the 4th of October. She's still 7 years old and the paint's got many imperfections, but it's a driver and I can't get too excited if I get the inevitable scratch here and there. It'll never look like Jerry's, Max's and, of course, Dale's. It will never again be a Garage Queen like my last 2 cars.
