It appears that the former website was replaced by a backup of the one that existed several years ago. It seems to be working fine, but is just missing a few of the finer things from the former website, such as graphics, banners, etc.

Facebook is just a platform for advertisements and a waste of your time, compared to what can be done here on this website. Moreover, the Social Media has you, or most anyone who is "PC" convinced that you "aren't somebody" if you aren't "on Facebook" or Twitter or whatever. Instead of "making friends" and "sharing your location," here you can ask questions and start a dialog or group discussion that actually gets somewhere. The worst part is that, on FaceBook, you must force the ENTIRE GROUP to discuss only one topic at a time. There is nothing on this forum system to distract you for HOURS, unless you want to spend time searching and reading all the posts on a topic.

So, if you really want to use your time wisely or efficiently, and get good information in the proper context, keep using clevelandzclub.com :D

Facebook has the only advantage of being just another way to share the existence of the club, to get others aware or even involved, but has basically no other practical use. Yes, I'd like to see this forum system reinstated and back to being the primary way to get information to the members, besides the occasional e-mail. If there was NO other way to discuss things, then Facebook might suffice, but we have a comprehensive website with a discussion forum, no advertising, and nothing to sidetrack you for hours, which is clearly superior to any "social networking" website.

This website seems to be fully functional, and about the only thing missing is the banner graphic at the top of the screen. If people would get "off face-book, then we culd go back to discussing things in the usual efficient, friendly way.

:D
